Hi Question 1: I assume you want to share the MM420 analog output (0-20mA) with DCS and a pot For Current output devices or sensors, typical ranges of burden resistors are in ohms, not in Kilo ohms. i:e at full scale output ,maximum voltage across the burden resistor can’t go above 24 V or 10V. If you share the current output with multiple devices and using longer cables, you may lose the accuracy of the process value. Question 2: you want to use longer cables for digital inputs You can use longer cables for digital inputs, however low and high read threshold voltages should be considered.
