I am new tothis forum and Siemens S7 Hardware, I'm wiring up the units below and need some help connecting the inputs, outputs and analogue devices.

CPU 224 214-1AD23-0XB0

2 OFF A14-12BIT-231-OHC22-0XA0 ANALOGUES

My fieldanalogue devices (4-20ma)can beconnected 2 or 3 wire,I am supplying the PLC power from aSITOP 3.5a PSU, canI also supply the power to the analogue devices from this power supply. Any help or pointers to other material would be helpful.

The CPU my customer has supplied is required to switch 8 off 24vdc interposing relays, is this the correct CPU or would the relay ouput model 214-1BD23-0XB0 be better.

I don’t understand 100% what you mean with “switch 8 off 24vdc interposing relays”, but the first CPU has transistors outputs, the second has relays outputs.

Transistors output has less current capacity as the relays.
