I usually use a UNC path in my scripts to ensure that clients and servers all look at the same place.

For example, lets assume the files will be stored in the folder C:\my_files on the server named MY_SERVER. I would create a network share for this folder called my_files and then in my script use the UNC path to this share, e.g.\\MY_SERVER\my_files.
