TD200 / s7-200CPU

I understand that I need an external power source e.g. 6ES7–7705–0AA00–1AA0 230v/24v, and an appropriate TD/CPU cable (with pins 2 & 7 removed). Do I require anything else? Also can I purchase these components (cable, power source etc.) online direct from SIEMENS? Thanks for your help.

Hello nikmav, If the distance between TD 200 & CPU is less than 2.5 meter, then you can power the TD 200 from the communication cable. In your case, distance is 25 meters, so you have to use an external power supply (Output 24VDC) power consumption of the TD 200 is only 120mA. Please find here the TD 200 manual to know the pin assignment of the communication cable. It's one-to-one cable. nickmav Posts: 3 Rating: (0)	I’m making a cable to connect a S7-CPU to a TD200 display device. I am using a PROFIBUS cable and theappropriate LOGO power source for the TD200 however I now require 2 male 9-PIN D-sub connectors (one for each end of the cable). The instruction manual for the TD200 display device states that only pins 3, 5 & 8 should be used with the remaining pins being in ‘PIN-OUT’. My question is how does one physically configure the remaining pins to ‘PIN-OUT’. Do a need programmable 9-PIN D-sub connector to do this or can this be done with a normal ‘non-programmable’ 9-PIN D-sub connector.
