S7-200 CPU224 XP Cannot communicate with PC

Port 1 = for HMI, Touch Screen from Delta Electronic DOP-AS57BSTD Port 0 = Not use, The PLC Program not send to us, so we need to Upload from PLC. But until know I can not connect to PLC, I try to connect it using port 0 I'm use Micro Win V4.0 SP 3, and for communication I'm use UBC PC Adapter (MPI). The error port cannot be open, using by another application. if I using with S7-200 CN, it can connect. so any idea, whether we should be open cable in port 1 first? Please give me advice Yours Sincerely, Trisna Hello, As my friend here adviced to set the PG/PC setting to PPI. I would like to highlight that your CPU is CN. You have to sel language to chineese for uploading or downloading. S7 224CN not download in English language Hope this helps.

Please give me advice Yours Sincerely, Trisna First of all, check if that port is used for any protocol like modbus, If notm then simple, disconnect cable from pc or laptop, close microwin, the open it again & connect cable & bingoooooooooooooo.............

My guess is that the CN type PLC is to make provision for the Chinese characters. Traditonal text character codings does not make provision for it. Remember that something like the POU names are stored in the PLC. Maybe an added advantage is to limit PLC sales (raw PLC, not connected to machines) from China to other countries. China is one of the countries you can buy hardware for much cheaper than we can. w
