I'm trying to communicate to a siemens PLC in an ethernet network. I've configured the simatic net software and I've created an S7 connection called "link1". I've started the opc scout and I can see all the objects through the "link1". Until here everything is ok. My pourposal is to develop an opc client using C#. I'm looking the sample called opcasync.net that is distributed with the simatic net software. When I debug the sample I connect to the local server:

pIOPCServer =(IOPCServer)Activator.CreateInstance(svrComponenttyp);

but when I try to add a group calling the method AddGroup, it fails. The calling is like that:

the exception is (System.ArgumentException) and the messagge says "the value is not inside the awaited interval"

have you checked if the SIMATIC NET Software version you use is release with VS 2005?
