installation of simotion scout

Deep Bhatt Posts: 241 Rating: (50)	hello what is correct procedure to install simotoin scout with wincc flex and simatic manager.. what should be install first,second and third? what should be uninstall first,second and third? I need this info to reduce my time while installing and uninstalling..

Navnag Platinum Member Joined: 11/21/2007 Last visit: 9/25/2024 Posts: 2325 Rating: (308)	Hello The Correct sequence ( At least what worked for me ) is : a) Uninstall Drive Starter ( If installed ) - Scout and Starter cannot be simultaneously installed on same machine. b) Uninstall WInCC Flexible ( If Wincc Flexible is already installed before SCOUT is installed then SCOUT will not install unless you un-install the WInCC Flexible first. ) c) Remove any Incompatible softwared (Check using the Compatibility manager suggested by UMENCHO ) d) Install / upgrade STEP7 software ( Compatible Version + Service Pack + HF ( if any ) ) e) Install SCOUT software f) Install WInCC Flexible ( Compatible version + Service Pack ) Hope this helps Cheers Navnag
