Connect the modbus slave device on RS485 side of the converter. Connect ethnet side with IM151-8 CPU port. Will then make a query to poll the slave in given format of Modbus RTU protocol and samilarly will require to analyze the data send by the slave. Will send/receive data using BSEND and BRCV. Thats it. Regards Manmeet Hmm that's quite interesting ....................... Here are some details from BSEND / BRCV Help : SFB/FB 12 "BSEND" sends data to a remote partner SFB/FB of the type "BRCV". With this data can be transported between the communications partners with configured S7 connections I wonder how you propose to establish configured S7 connections with Moxa Convertors and thencall BSEND and BRCV on the Moxa Convertor If you can post a sample program, it will be extremely helpful for all ...

Then only thing which we need to enter in Netpro is IP address of the converter. Have a look at attached picture. Furthermore, PC systems with appropriate hardware and software support communication via the S7 protocol. Don't you think that you are contradicting yourself ... I would suggest that you should read what you have posted. How do you propose to implement S7 protocol on the Moxa Convertor? I am not aware of any way to achieve this, it would be nice if you enlighten us on this.

I have recenltly implemented S7 connection between 400 series PLC and third part device using my own Modbus RTU protocol. It was implemented as unspecified connection. It simply works.

Thats it. Regards Manmeet Hello Manmeet, I'd like to correct you. The PN interface uses the T-blocks for open communication. And open communication is required to realise ModbusRTU via a TCP connection. Regards, Kaulquappe
