The simpler approach instead of writing plc logic is to have hardware bandpass filters to 8 analog inputs with the sampling frequency set to match the frequency being passed. Then it's a simple analog signal and some thresholds to establish for effects. However, there is a winamp plugin you can google that does the hard part in software on the PC and can be used to send data to the plc via tcp/ip. http://www.winamp.com/plugin/winamp-vblink/24837if you can still find it for download. Then on the pc, in your vb project, you can send simple messages over the network. |

Hi, I've found the attached guide on the internet. It might help you. When I was playing with it, I was able to send a string from the PLC to the PC (MS VB Express), so it should work the other way around. However, I think that the best solution for you would be huggy_d1's suggestion about hardware bandpass filters.
