Programming HMI-Screen

Pieter De Vos Posts: 36 Rating: (2)	Hello, What is the best way to program a HMI-Screen with multiple functions. I have for example two buttons which activate 2 complete different things. For example with button 1, I can change my clock time. With button 2, I activate another function. Now if I press button 1, I activate all the things needed to set my clock time. (With visibility, made an internal tag in my HMI. If I press button1, I set the bit of the internal tag). When I press button 2, I reset all the things needed for my clock and set all the things needed for another function. (Also with visibility and another internal tag) Are their other possibilities to do this ? If not what takes the most memory, making another screen (with activatescreen when I press the button1 for example) or using this method. My purpose is to have a low amount of screens, but have alot of functions on one screen. Also how can you make actual text variable, not using text lists from HMI. Thank you for the help !

Pieter De Vos Posts: 36 Rating: (2)	Hello, For the moment I have this programmed If I press button1 a few I/O fields are made vissible and another button. If I press button2, the I/O fields that were made vissible with button1 are reset and other buttons and I/O fields are made vissible. Is this the only way to do this ? Because when I download all the software to my HMI-Screen i get warnings, because some buttons or I/O fields are overlapped. Thank you for the help !

That's whyI thought, that their had to be another way to make this happen, so you don't get these warnings all the time. But guess not, you have to make another screen, if you want these warnings to go away. But then you have too many screens in my opinion. I've been thinking to use layers, maybe that would help ?
