Dear All,

I am doing engineering for one of my upcoming projects. I dont have any simatic hardware to check my work, becuase all the hardware is delivered at project site.I want to confirm that whether i am going on the right path or not. Please read my query and reply will it work or need any correction.

Hardware of my project:

1) CPU 315-2 PN/DP, (2) IM 153-1 (3) Siwarex U-2 7MH4950-2AA01

Following are the steps mentioned below, which i need to confirm. I have chosen this method because i want to make my project as simple as possible:

*I have Siwatool U software from where i want to do callibration and other necessary settings, I am not using any step7 programming for callibration and other settings.

*From hardware configuration i have selected communication type SFC.SFB, FB communication. Please see attached pic

*In step7 software, I have programed a FC in which SFC14 is called for fetching data from siwarex U channel. I also make a UDT as temp variable, the UDT data type is defined according to Siwarex U Manual. Please see the attached pics for programmed FC and UDT contents in my next post below.

I recommend you to use the S7 example programm “SIWAREX_U_GETTING_STARTED_S7.zip” which you can find on the internet:

At the FB45 you can see at the parameter “GROSS1” the current weight value of channel 1 and at the parameter “GROSS2” the current weight value of channel 2.

Hello MHasan,

Well, if you don’t want to use this S7-program, you can read the current weight values at the following periphery addresses:
- Channel 1: Pheriphery-Inputword (x + 2)
- Channel 2: Pheriphery-Inputword (x + 10)

“x” means the start address into the Hardware Config of the Siwarex U module.
