I’m trying some simple things with TIA Portal V11 and HMI to just get some preliminary insights.

Now I was wondering how I can “call/show/activate" an (existing) second HMI screen when input/output%0.0 turns positive. Like triggering a screen and swaping between two screens via the input/output control with simple pushbutton.

I was thinking of an (main) event control on the HMI screen (under screen properties tab) but this doesn’t seem to be possible? Also from the basic logic for programming (under the instructions option tab) OB1 doesn’t seem to contain something like executing a screen call?

Could someone give me a good lead?

If I understood right you want to show a screen automatically when some variable has his value changed correct? Without someone press some button or anything?

Well, try to do what I'm showing in the imagem.

Create a bool variable (just to test) and reference with any variable on the PLC.

Follow my instructions on the imagem to create a event that executes when the variable on HMI has his value changed using the function ActiveScreen and set the Screen that you want to show. After that, go to PLC and try to change the reference value of the HMI variable.

Thank you for the support! Especially the attachment is very clear and helpfull.

Took me a while before I've got it working, It turned out that I needed to reboot my computer entirely to reset the connection for testing,... Whatever that was all about,...??
