I have project configure with TIA portal V13 SP1.  (Tp1200 comfort and D435 Cpu)
I do configure a pop up screen with when button (configure with event SetBitWhileKeyPressed) pressed, I also closed popup screen. 

Sometime, I miss a this signal. I think it's timing issue. as Once we set this bit while key pressed, we also closed popup screen in same time.

I have 2 trace
1. SetBitWhileKeyPressed And NotClosePopUp - I don't use closed pop up screen when button pressed. With this, our action press are long enough for Controller to detect. - it's work fine.

2. SetBitWhileKeyPressed And ClosedPopUp - I used closed pop up screen in same time with button pressed. Timing what we got is very short. So, it can be miss out sometime.

If timing is missing out sometime, then our system are not react properly.

you configure your close pop in events on release of button and check if possible ..
