STL... Posts: 13 Rating: (2)	Hi I have a customer who has 3 of these that they wish to use in a new system, old system is no longer in use. Problem is they have not got the password for these so i cannot reprogram them, is there some sort of factory reset for these units ? They are the Dual Channel Standard units 2006 era FW 1.19 Cheers Dave

I have just tried the reset routine (although its not very well documented) and tried all manner of Simon, SIMON,simon, sIMON etc using the Leer.asi default from the asimon cd...... So far it doesnt work and doesnt reset the unit,i still have a monitor with a routine in it and an unknown password :( Any other thoughts ? regards Dave

The ASIMON manual does mention that the default password is "SIMON", but has no more information. I guess his is a case for Siemens support, if no one else on the forum has any experience for this... STL... Posts: 13 Rating: (2)	Ok, Thanks Daniel Well heres the official result from Siemens.... I spoke with a siemens Asi Expert who told me the units were scrap!! Not impressed i continued with Siemens and spoke with a UK based tech support ASi chap and he asked me for line 6 and line 10 of the configuration from the ASi Monitor (You can upload from the monitor usingany PW as long as the monitor is not on an ASi Network) The particular items he needed were the Firmware version of the monitor and the AS Code (four digits alphanumeric in caps) The Tech Support chap forwarded the AS Code and FW Version from line 6 & 10 to Siemens in Germany, within the hour i got a master reset password to enable me to change the password and upload a new config to the monitor. The leer.asi had nothing to do with it at all and according to tech support in the uk doesnt work! The Master Password only works once as when you reset the password and download a new config the AS Code on Line10 changes which means you will have to get another Master Reset PW should you forget yours or someone else needs to reset the unit. Sometimes the hardest thing is to locate the adequate support person fon the issue at hand, isn't it? Was the Germany support that finaly generated yous reset password from Siemes, or from As-i?Keep his number handy, in any case... Maybe there is a way we can ask Siemens to update/correct the support entry that points to the leer.ini file? I'll try contacting our forum moderator on that subject tomorrow. STL... Posts: 13 Rating: (2)	The reset password was from the Factory (presume Siemens Factory) through UK Support. This is once only based on the F/W and AS Code read out from the module in line 06 and 10 from the configuration file. Regards Dave
