Loading the appropriate error OB allows the CPU to collect more information on the fault and load it in the diagnostic buffer. So next time the error occurs your diagnostic buffer should contain more precise messages on the fault.

Hi,

In TIA, indirect addressing is %IWxx.0:P. You have to mention the starting bit.

Bingo. That was right. Initial bit is required for pointer addressing.

Discussing on the current topic, the "scale" function it works only on INT values at IN. It functions like this 

OUT = [((FLOT(IN)-K1)/(K2-K1))*(HI_LIM-LO_LIM)]+LO_LIM

The IN value is getting converted to a real value in the function.

So first we can convert the IW222 (from BCD16) to INT (MW102) using convert block and use MW102 as IN to SCALE block.

OR

Better option is, go to tag table and change the IW222 as INT datatype. Hope this should be the esiest way. I checked with ladder and figured out immediately.
