Dear All,

One of our customer wants to purchase some spare parts for their old SICAM SAS and SICAM eRTU system which are written in below. But it seems same modules are not available anymore.

My question is whether successor modules can support existing system or not?

If not which solutions can we offer to the customer?

1) CP 443-1 for SICAM SAS

MLFB: 6GK7443-1EX11-0XE0

Successor module MLFB: 6GK7443-1EX30-0XE0

a) As I investigated; 6GK7443-1EX30-0XE0 doesnt have AUI module. So first of all they need to purchase new Industial Ethernet OLM with RJ45 interface.

b) And also 6GK7443-1EX30-0XE0 requires STEP 7 V5.5 SP3 or higher version. However existing system has Step7 V5.3+SP2.  So they need to upgrade the Step7 which is also another question mark. Existing operating system in Engineering PC: WinXP+SP3

c) I couldn't find the compatibility list of existing CPU 

MLFB: 6ES7 488-3AA00-0AB0 / V5.0

2) CPU 416-3 for SICAM eRTU

MLFB: 6ES7416-3XL04-0AB0  

Succesor module MLFB:6ES7416-3XR05-0AB0

a) As I found in the data sheet of 6ES7416-3XR05-0AB0; it  requires STEP7 V 5.3 SP2 or higher with HW update.

Exisiting software is Step7 V5.3+SP2 

so it seems it may work with our system.

b) But I couldn't find any compatbility list of MCP modules (6MD1 010 0BA00 0AA0) which are already installed in eRTU with this new CPU (6ES7416-3XR05-0AB0)
