the "speed" of the object depends on how fast your added tag changes its value and the chosen range.

For example:

• You have a range from 0 to 100.
• Tag1 needs 10 seconds to increase from 0 to 100.
• Tag2 needs 5 seconds to increase from 0 to 100.
• --> The object moved by Tag2 is two times faster than the object moved by Tag1.
• If you use Tag1 and set the range to 1 to 50 the moved object is as fast as the one of Tag2, but with fewer "frames".

More "frames" can make the animation smoother.

in this case you need to change the tag slower/faster.

How do you change the value of your movement tag?

If you use a signal generator like the "LGF_SawTooth" function
(see: "Library of general functions for STEP 7 (TIA Portal) and S7-1200 / S7-1500" https://support.industry.siemens.com/cs/ww/en/view/109479728)
you can use it a second time with different values for the parameters (for example higher incrementRange or lower timeRange), which results in a decrease of the time you need to go from min to max.
