Beneath you will find peace of code I am using to check whether I have connection to a folder on the network or not. As soon as I have a connection then on my HMI pop ups a screen where I have to enter the password.

Is there any possibility to include this password into my VBScript?

If fso.dir(PathPass)="" Then

     result= 0  

     bConnectionOk = False

     ShowSystemAlarm PathPass & "  No Connection"

I am thinking about sth like this:

Set fso= CreateObject("Filectl.filesystem"), "MyPassword"

 VBScripts are running on TP700, TIA V13 SP8

Hello,

you can use the code in the following FAQ to check weather you are allowed to create an object (a file) in the passed Directory/file path. If you can't you get a error-bit, which can be used to open the popup. My guess is that if the directory is secured by a password, then you can't create the file object.

I don't have an idea about using a windows password during runtime, however. Maybe you can use the HTML browser control or toggle between the Windows function (password window) and the runtime.

I have used the example from siemens.support and simply modified it to my needs.

Now as soon as I try to connect to this path the window pop ups automatically (I didn't have to create it extra in my project). And then I can enter my username and password. (Which is correct because the PC where my file should be stored is being protected by a username and password.)

Since this pop up window is not 'my' I believe this entre field for password has no tag, hasn't?

@Murof - even If I had internal tag with my password I still wouldn't know how to 'pass' it to my let's call it host PC. (Where my file should be stored).

Unfortunately in the pop up window there is no possibility to safe the password.
