Hi,

I have recently been updating my Siemens software from discs that I have been sent and am now struggling to open TIA as I don't have the correct versions.

From the image attached can somebody tell me if it is correct that i need to update to wincc advanced v13 sp1 update 9? If so can somebody please point me to the correct web link.

My 'Automation Software Updater' isn't working showing a message saying  "Unable to connect to server" which is making the update very difficult!

you need the same Version at TIA Step7 7 and WinCC.
If you have at the Step7 (TIA) SP1 Upd 9 you eed also at Wincc SP1 Upd 9.

That is the reason for your error message.

Thanks you both for the links and the information.

I got myself confused as I was looking for "wincc v13 sp1 update 9" rather than TIA Update 9 which i thought i already had, new to managing the software, I have have had somebody else do it for me before! Getting my head around it now though. 

I do have another question which is related......

Does anybody know why Automation Software Updater comes up with "Unable to connect to server". 

I thought about reinstalling it?? but again where can I get this link? Is it part of the TIA update 9? Would I have to uninstall everything and start again?

I have been to FAQ before, the link works OK, the XML file appears. 

I dont really understand the what I have to do? Do I have to copy the links and update from them sites? 

I am assuming there is no way to repair the ASU?

Hi,

The ASU is part of TIA V13 and can't be installed/uninstalled seperat.
