Profibus DP address stops working

alindsay81 Posts: 38 Rating: (0)	Hi all, I have a problem thats been around for a long time, On the milltronics AIRanger the profibus DP address stops working, the plc can no longer communicate with the AIRanger. To correct the problem i have to change the profibus address in the device and also in the PLC's HWConfig, once changed everything works perfectly again for a few months untill it happens again. Sometime in the future i will run out of address's to use!

alindsay81 Posts: 38 Rating: (0)	Its actually a 'Siemens Milltronics AiRanger DPL Plus Ultrasonic Level Transceiver System' which i believe is now known as 'Siemens SITRANS LU02 Dual Point Ultrasonic Level Transmitter' This is the first i have asked about this problem so i have no feedback from anyone else.

Tell me your oldpart number then I will advise youa correct number for replacement. or you can returnthe faulty unit toSiemens for repair. Regards chook

Isuggest thatyou should return itback to Siemens forfully checking. Thecost for repair is not too expensive. ( it could be damaged on motherboard , daughter board or LCD display ) You're right , DPL wasreplaced into new product as known as"SITRANS LU02" Regards chook
