I have not used s7200 series as much as others so I have come here for help. I will explain my situation:

I have an old system using s7200 cpu and OP7 panel. now OP7 panel program is lost. it is constantly going in transfer mode and when I tried to take backup there is nothing I got. I dont have backup of this panel. Now, I dont know much about OP7 but HMI program for S7200 is written in PLC itself (correct me if I am wrong), so if I have another OP7 then can I use it without any configuration. As I dont know any original configuration or program, I will be very happy if this can work.

On the other hand if such straightforward solution is not available then what can I try? I have uploaded program and I can find addresses for different parameters to be configured in HMI. How can I use them with other HMI like TD400 or any other KTP? Is there any HMI replacing OP7 one to one?

Any help in this direction is much appreciated.

In chapter 2.1 is a overview of the panels with a cros references list.
This list is "only" for the panels oft the 1st generation.

You should look at the panels with the 2nd generation, because they have the same dimensions.

Have you tried using ProSave? Because the problem are the keys and the messages (if you have in OP7), all is not resident in the PLC. So if you can make an Upload of the panel is easier and you have to find an OP7 with the same code, otherwise you have to rewrite the functions in the new panel and below is a list of such panels can be connected to S7 200.

only idea, if your OP7 still after reboot show ready for transfer, there is no one project inside OP, very sry. You need prepare your own via mentioned S7-200 code or get project from programmer.

Thank you all for the answers. I have studied mentioned links and situation is much clear to me now.

Actually what I was trying to know is OP7 is replaceable with TD 400 directly or not. I know with very little or no modification TD200 and TD400 are interchangeable. but as I got now, OP7 is little different from TD series. so I am only left with option to redevelop HMI.

Assuming that I will be able to get all the required addresses for parameters and alarms from the program, I will be using KTP 600 DP because it is easy to program, easily available and I like it better than others. I was unsure of use of V memory in HMI but I tried in TIA with selecting S7200 connection. I was able to create tags with V memory address. I will give it a try.
