I don't think that this kind of device is listed unter /dev. 

lsblk is only for storage devices I think. I tested it with a USB stick and it is displayed with lsblk, but with a USB Wifi dongle it isn't..

I also tried this:  

ls -1 /dev > ~/before.txt

plug it in, then

ls -1 /dev > ~/after.txt  diff ~/before.txt ~/after.txt

 and there is no differece in /dev after plugging the USB Wifi dongle.

You can try this, maybe your device is listed as /dev/ttyUSB0 or something.
