Hello,

In my company, we have 4 systems of WINCC, in each system we use Scalance 308X switches, switches are configured with IP number in all systems except one. for 2 years of running, all switches working well but in the one that its scalance switches are not configured with IP, fiber optic port  in several switched are defected and happened in almost all switches.

Then I took one of the faulty scalance switch and gave it an IP via PST tool and saw the events and nothing is mentioned related to fiber optic.

My question is there any thing in communication that cause this problem or what ?

Which Firmware Version does the scalance have?

Perhaps a Firmwareupdate resolves some issues:
