1. just take a S7-connection.

2. "Unknown" is right. it´s called a unspecific connection, that means the communication partner is not part of this projekt. As you have a S7-1500, it can´t be projected in S7 classic.

3. normally you just need to establish the connection on one side. the CPU on this side just accesses the other CPU with PUT and GET blocks. In S7-1500 CPU you need to allow the access for PUT/GET in CPU-properties in "Protection&Security"
