Do you mean you want to control a stepper motor with an Automation Direct STP-DRV-6575?

Look at the screenshot below, it states that the control signals for this drive should be a source of step pulses. This is reffered to as PTO (Pulse Train Output) and can be achieved in the S7-1500 with a special Technological module TM-PTO4. There appears to be no Profinet or Profibus interface (for ProfiSafe telegrams) or analog control options for this drive.

Actually 1511C has 4 PWM/PTOs on board.

Enable one of them as a PTO and configure according to you requirements. Then in the TO select drive type - profidrive, data connection - drive, drive - name of configured PTO.
