AutoGen_9885231 Posts: 8 Rating: (0)	Hello, I wanted to archive project and message "Archiving failed. Reorganization failed!" keeps popping out. TIA V15 update4 on windows 10 Tried: - I can archive another project in same folder. - Restarted TIA Portal - Saved project under another name - archive project in another folder any help appreciated. i.ropt Posts: 1 Rating: (0)	Hi. I had the same problem. In my case I hadn´t too much free space on C:\ (6GB). After making free space I achieved 11GB on C:\ (the HD where TIA Portal installed), it worked. Try to archive again having more free space on the hard disk. Regards.

0_Einstein Diamond Expert Joined: 7/7/2010 Last visit: 9/5/2025 Posts: 16061 Rating: (2513)	A workaround is to break the project up into 2 pieces, one with hardware components and connections all set up. The other is just visualization components (HMI / SCADA) in the other project. If this project has been upgraded over time from previous versions of TIA Portal / WinCC, I recommend creating a new project from scratch, and dragging your components into the new project one at a time and attempting to archive after each component is added. At some point, you will not be able to archive the project. The last added component is the problem and can be removed to another project (temporarily). If you can archive 2 sub-projects, reintegrate them and you should be able to archive the new combined project. gandalf78 Hello, i have the same problem above. I tried to reboot my VM and the problem was solved. Weird but simple fix. Dustin

What did Siemens Support say when you sent your project to them via Support Request? What happened when you broke the project up into smaller pieces? What happens when you perform a compile / rebuild all for hardware and software? Nasredeen12 i have the same problem: 4600:000151 Reorganization failed. I have tried everthing, but it dones not work. C:\01-Projekte\Projectxyz\2021_12_09\Project.zap15_1 was the solution. i hope its help =)

In my case, the temporary files at "project_folder\System\" were not being deleted, resulting in a giant project size and inability to achieve. I just closed the TIA portal, deleted the extra files (with TIA closed the System folder should have only two files: "PEData.idx" and "PEData.plf"), and reopened TIA. It lost a few changes but the size went back to normal (It was 25 GB and turned to less than 1 MB.
