So i am using TIA V15.1

I have an Input INT from a 3rd party machine which gives me my error codes. 

The numerical value of the INT represents which fault is present.

I have roughly 400 faults coming in on the INT (so for example when my INT is showing 372, it means a left cylinder fault)

I want to view each of these seperate as Bools so i can assign what they are in a DB and then my SCADA can read from the DB 

I have tried (write to arrayDB fuction block) but this just sends over as an INT and won't let me set to a Bool array. 

Scatter fuction will only allow me to do Lword and only upto 64 bits? where as i need upto 400?

From the previous, looks like i will need to write the code out for each bit of the array seperate?

Multiple errors shouldn't matter too much as if it changes the fault will latch on in the SCADA program we use until reset.

This bit is exactly what i am after 

For example, INT value 372 should set fault_array_of_bool[372] to true, and false otherwise.

If I understand correctly, you want to convert the decimal INT from an external machine into distinct bools, preferably into an array of bool over the range available for the INT coming into the PLC.

Correct?

Is there ever a time more than a single fault can exist?  How is that to be handled?

An array of INT mapping to the same fault array of bool?

Seems fairly simple until you add the 2nd and beyond INT for additional fault information being passed.  @Qwazee already posted a workable solution for this scenario.

 Yeah my bad. I'm half way there. i have it now working and setting the BOOLS in my array. JUst for the Block reset, or try as you have suggested.

I am using SCL, so very helpful. It's pretty new to me on Siemens so i'm just a little slow with getting it correct.
