Did you compile your project in TIA V13 SP2 after you installed the latest SP?

On your V13 SP1 or V13 SP2 project, perform a right-mouse click on the HMI, then select compile>hardware>rebuild all, followed by another right-mouse click on the HMI and select compile>software>rebuild all, you will see any errors in the HMI project you are trying to convert.

If this does not show you your HMI errors, let's convert the project in pieces.

Split your project into just the plc and just the hmi.  Do you not recompile.  Just perform a save-as of your project 2 times.  Create one for just the plc and one for just the hmi.

Open the PLC project.  Delete the HMI.  Save.

Open the HMI project.  Delete the PLC.  Save.

Open the PLC project in V14 SP1.  It should migrate without problem unless you use know-how protected blocks like SINA_PARA or SINA_SPEED for example from the Siemens Sinamics Drive Library.

Open the HMI project in V14 SP1.  Migrate. 

Pay attention to what does not migrate.

If they both migrate, recombine them and smile (this is not likely to happen, so make a really BIG smile!!!).

At this point, you are most assuredly close to losing your mind at this point. I know, I have been there trying to do the very same thing.

I eventually sent my original project (V13 SP2) to Siemens support who split the PLC and HMI, and sent me the PLC part, and told me about the first part I posted at the top of my reply.

That said, if you get it to compile hardware and software and still get the exact same errors, you can try creating several HMI projects within the same project and break it down further.

I am really guessing here, but you have some library object that is not Siemens original, perhaps from a device manufacturer, that is causing you problems.

After I made the compile I save the project and I try to open with TIA Portal V14.

I attach the error log.

The update stops at 75%.

It's a possibility to open this project in version 14 or I need to make the project in version 14 starting from zero?

Ok, let me make sure I fully understand.

You want to upgrade / convert a V13 project directly to V14 SP1 without stopping along the way for V13 SP1 or V13 SP2 and V14?

When you split your HMI V13 project off and deleted the PLC, you could no longer open that HMI project?

I try everything what you told me and nothing change. I can open the PLC project but I can not open the HMI project.

I send the entire project (PLC+HMI in v13) to siemens support and now I'm waiting for them response.

• What is the EXACT version number (major and minor) of the original engineering software?

V13 SP1

• Which TIA Portal components and license levels were used to design the original project?
    Example: Step7 | WinCC
  Are these available and installed in the new TIA version

From the following error messages in the conversion log file, I assume there is something wrong in the tag table of the HMI.

Perhaps the tag table can be exported and then reimported, or deleted and recreated in the V13 SP1 (original) project, recompiled and conversion attempted again.
