PCS 7 Bronze Member Joined: 9/2/2013 Last visit: 11/19/2024 Posts: 128 Rating: (0)	Hi, We have 2 flow computers (A&B) communicating thru modbus PN in our Redundant PLC 412-5h PN/DP. PLC as the clients and the other two flow computers are the slave. Everything was working fine but during our plant shutdown (power loss on the CPU). Flow computer A communication is working fine but I lost the communication from one of my flow computer B and its giving me a error code of "A083". and the busy bit is always "on". The error code popping up mostly every second. I've checked the error code but still don't understand how to clear this alarm and make my communication work again. It seems that there is a bit I need ti reset but I don't know what it is. I have uploaded the FC and Hope you can assist me on this problem. Regards, J Attachment sc1.pdf (413 Downloads)

This is not good. You must wait that the previous job was finished. Don't use a timer depent on ENQ_ENR = FALSE. Delete the timer and if the error still occurs, attach the online idb as a pdf. Only the busy bit is always high. then A083 flash approximately every second. Some times I see blink on simultaneously "ENQ and Error". DO you thing resetting the PLC and donwload the entire thing again will fix the problem? I already turn on/off the slave still the same.

The error code was gone and I don't see any error but the communication still doesn't work. The busy bit is always high and I see ENQ and Error flash a bit from time to time. The internal parameters also say, that the TCON is running. Check your communication partner. It seems, that the partner is not ready for the connection establishment. Wüstenräuber

I tried turning on/off the slave device and still the same. I've check the parameters setting and they are all okay. We have two flow computer A and B. the configuration are the same except for the IP address that are use for the modbus communication. Flow computer A is working fine but B isn't. Can you let me know what else I need to check in my modbus slave why it is not communicating with my PLC? Regards,

It is possible to connect to the server with a simulation client, e.g. SimplyModbus? Write a telegram traffic with wireshark to check the telegrams and the response of the server.

I have ping the slave and its responding. I have not tried using a modbus poll. I will try now and let you know the result. Thanks.
