I hope our feedback reaches the development team. Maybe they need to change a couple of things including programming language or the team itself 

They really need to restructure their software and reprogram the PC (memory/CPU) resource usage. I mean we don't see that TIA is that complex to be very slow and sluggish, aside from frequent crashes and no support for everything (which is what their marketing is about)

We now have many platforms for different PLCs and different capabilities. Some of the platforms share the ability to program same CPUs and this is very confusing. Why didn't they just renovate the SIMATIC Step7 platform? I think PCS7 is a good example that integration of PLC and SCADA is possible to be reliable.

TIA V14 will have to show its maturity, expecially outside the pure PLC context : Simotion for example.

We expect more and more bug fixes, more speed.

The rest is ok : it's pure power.

 In my opinion, this are just salesman argument.

Step7 classic has same or even more "integrated automation" possibilities than TIA.

And this "Portal" construction is very useless and slow.

The "Totally integrated Automation" is done already years ago, that is absolut nothing new in TIA.
But the child need a name.

Don't jump into the salesman trap!

Sure there are lot of Things that needs to be done on the TIA portal, but I think there are good Things as well.

In my compagny we teach people in Siemens PLC and programming software and our experiense is that it's much easyer for newbies and people who have programmed other brands to Learn Siemens after the TIA portal.

In classic og Step 5 the learning curve is Very Steep, Thats much better in the TIA portal.

Are we there yet?, not at all, but I beleive it's on the right way

 You are Right .. TIA is a wonderful concept marred by poor implementation
