When will Step7 Proffesional V12 be released?

Don't know if this is the right forum, but, When will Step7 Proffesional V12 be released? What will be included in V12? Isit true thatthere is a teamworking on rewriting the SCL editor in Tia Portal? If so when is this new editor available? I havestill in SP2 UPD3 problems withthe SCL editor, Tia portal still crashes now and then when writing SCLcode.(More often when workingon IF statements). //Mattias Lindh Hello Mattias Lindh, v12 by name it is expected in 2012, but nothing more as of now. As there are no news on v12 till now, we can not expect a release in atleast next 3-4 months for sure. ... Remember you answeirng this.... 2012 turned into 2013. We had siemens at our company to talk and show V12 and S71500. The context of the meeting was to relax. The paln is to release the V12 and S71500 feb-mars 2012 but reading between the lines this might be delayed. The delay can be explaind by the new hardware that needs to be accepted and approved by organs as Tüff.. Many things looks better in V12 and S71500 is really a big lift. butmy fear that there are many new things implemented causing new problems - bugs. (Instead of really focusing on turing V11 into a usable product before adding many new fetures).. We are about to release a new developed consept based on tia portal but still we are awaiting V12 and improvements as we consider V11 to be too unstable to be a plattform used as standard in our company. Lets Hope 2013 will be a good TIA portal Year.......

Wulfgar Posts: 42 Rating: (3)	I'm also hoping V12 will be out before my next Siemens project. I agree with Mr Lindh. I would not deply Step7 V11 in a production enviroment on a large scale. It's still way too buggy (using Basic V11 SP2 Up4), and with no upload from PLC. I've built 4 small machines so far using it and have had quite a few headaches and lost data due to crashes and in-ablity to re-sync with online changes. Still it is not as painful as Step 7 Ver5.4 with all the cryptic data formatting and PLC-HMI formatting issues.

In that case it must be out sooner than April though am not sure if still there is any country specific release is planned for S7-1500 along with TIA Portal v12.
