I'm weak(very new) to programming C, i dont really understand how to put the text into the "text message" of an alarm logging. please enligthen me! cykee

Create a Process Value Block 2. In your alarm message, set the Process Value Block to your text tag 3. In the Alarm Control in the Graphics Designer you need to ensure the Process Value Block is displayed.

Thanks for your help, I'm able to capture the timestamp now in the alarm log. but a fatal drawback of the timestamp is the resolution, anyway to pass the resolution of "msec" to the process value block? cykee

My currently interface with WinCC is a third-party OPC server, which can pass timestamp of "hh:mm:ss:000" to WinCC's tag management. The resolution of msec is lost when I passed the "ExternalTag.timestamp" to "NewInteraltag.value" in VBS and latter subscribed it to "prcess value blocks" of Alarm Logging. cykee
