Connections fail after 10 simultaneous connections

alesans Member Joined: 11/13/2019 Last visit: 12/16/2025 Posts: 6 Rating: (0)	Hello, I have a Wincc RT Professional V17 running normally, with 5 Integrated PLC connections and 5 non-integrated PLC connections. (all S7 1200 PLC's) But when I need add one more PLC connection (number 11), connection number 1 fails, and when add another one others connections failed too, and so on. Is not a licence problem .(I have a Wincc RT Professional 8192 for 64 connections). I'm using 4100 power tags currently. I've updated Tia Portal to version 8. I guess there is a updated time (polling time) for the connections and/or tags, which might be high. But I couldn't find where it can be modificated. I appreciate any help you can bring me.

Murof Platinum Expert Joined: 8/3/2009 Last visit: 12/19/2025 Posts: 16612 Rating: (1943)	Hello alesans I´m not sure but it could have something to do with the communication ressources of your Operating System do you use Win10 or Win11? then this could be the reason, these desktop OS do not have very much communiation ressources that could run parallel. I think you would need a Server OS But I´m not 100% sure but if you cannot find another answer you could make a Service Request to analyse this by Siemens Bye Murof

What you say about resources makes a lot of sense, could you tell me how can I make a Service Request? I have wasted a lot of time looking for a solution to the problem. Thanks again.
