Dear Experts,

I am doing energy meter data collection project with EM 6400 energy meter with modbus communication and for modbus to profibus i am using HMS anybus module.

Client is having Cp315 2DP

Now i am getting data in PLC with Hex format.

As per energy meter manufacture all data s are in float 32 bit.

I am trying to do the conversion but the values are not coming correct.

i don't know where i am doing wrong

I request experts to support me to resolve the issues.

Hello VMKumar,

the challenge at Modbus is that you have "only 16bit communication.

You must swap the words at your PLC so that you have the right 32bit-Real.

Try to change the High and Low-word and look if you have a low-Endian or a High-Endian value.
It's possible that you must swap also the bytes at any word.

Please try it.

I am using HMS anybus in that there is a option to swap 2 byte which I done, but still I am having problem.

Can you please tell me I am getting data as a byte format from HMS anybus.

As per EM 6400 each registet data's are 32bit float.

I am collecting 50 register from EM 6400 and I configured in PLC 100 bytes. (50words)

Please tell me how to convert those data to 32 Bit float.

If still I want swap data in PLC then please tell me how to do that..

Hi VMKumar,

You have your Value load to your DB like

Byte 1, Byte 2, Byte 3, Byte 4

It's possible that you can use the follow version:

• Byte 3, Byte 4, Byte 1, Byte 2
• Byte 2, Byte 1, Byte 4, Byte 3
• ...

You can do this with Flags e.g. (example in SCL)

FB 1 := DB1.DBB 3;
FB 2 := DB1.DBB 4;
FB 3 := DB1 DBB 1
FB 4 := DB1.DBB 2;

Then you can read this 4 Bytes as a DWORD.

DB2.DBD1 := DB1.DBD1;

Then you can check which bytes or words must be changed.
