Can you please post a picture of your drive--SIMODRIVE 611 SYSTEM has 611A, 611D and 611U

theses 3 types of control card --they insert into what you post LT module such as 6SN1123-1AA00-0CA1--is a 50A --we call it power section. even you don't post picture, but from your description --I guess your control card is 611U--when you post the picture , i will give you the detail function of terminals you asked.

Hello There!

I'm dealing with an SIMODRIVE 611 (6SN1123-1AA00-0CA1 LT Module) and I need to know what exactly terminals 65.A from X451 and 663 from X431 means. According to machine's manual, these signals are called "Speed Loop Enable" and "Pulses Enable", however I don't have much knowledge about SIMODRIVE, so I wish you could help me understanding what it means.

Another doubt I'm having too is about motor rotation direction, there is an analogic signal (0-10Vdc) coming from CNC (not SINUMERICK) to terminals 56.A and 14.A from X451 but I'm not finding any digital signal determining the rotation direction like I'm used to see in VFDs, and I'm wondering if this analogic signal can give both the velocity reference voltage and motor rotation direction, it's possible?

Not 611A --you have 611U. U means universal --it can set to use digital (from profibus ) and can set to use analog. I think you use analog--setpoint from 56/14 (56A/14A--it is double axis controller , you only use A-axis )

now you question:

#1--I want you try to understand by yourself--attached picture for all enable terminals. you need read and try , give me basic idea, I will give your final summary--in this way you will never forget

#2--Don't use same idea as VFD to think about servo drive --normally SIMODRIVE running with CNC or PLC controlled (AO module ) change spindle rotation direction --by change reference setpoint polar --such as  from +9VDC change to -9VDC

I've checked that, and we're talking about 611A model, I've attached pictures of it down below. By the way, this drive is driving an 1PH7 105-2NF02-0BA0 Spindle Motor.

65.B - Is B drive controller enable.

663 - Is Pulse enable (IGBT)

give some tips for you. I attached the page of all enables terminals --not only for the drive . but also for the power supply module. 63, 64, 48 , 112 , you should remember all of them.--attached pic for you

PS: for 56/14, 63,64,65 Siemens kept using them AS SAME FUNCTION crossed generations.

From SIMODRIVE 610/650 in mid of 1980 to 611 in early 1990 and 611A in 1992, 611D in 1996 and 611U in 1998--I have been used all kind of these drive systems, so which is easy for me to remember them.
