We have our Static Excitation System which converts the input AC supply to the DC output. The output DC voltage and the current are of the range of 300 Volt and 2767 Amps DC. For the above system we want to use the "3WL5232-8AA32-1GA4-Z A17" ACB on the DC side of the system. Question is 1) Can we use the above, ACB for the said application i.e., at DC O/P of Static Excitation Systems? 2) For this breaker although the specification mentions In=3200A iec: up to 690V DC, 25kA at 690V & ul: up to 600V DC, 25kA at 600V but I couldn't find the examples where this breaker has been used for such DC applications. 3) Do we foresee any problem of using the breaker for above application? 4) The customer wants to perform the type test on breaker according to IEEE/ANSI C-37-18 or IEC 60947-2. Do we have type test reports already available with us for these breakers? Type Tests 1 Dielectric tests 2 Heating tests 3 Allowable short-time currents 4 Current switch-off rating on the main poles under a given voltage 5 Current switch-on rating of the main poles (!)
