some time ago more than a few of our M6 devices show a very weird graphical error in which the left or middle of the screen will show a multicolored stripe from the top to the bottom of the screen.

I am pretty sure that it has to be a software error, because when I transfer the SSD to a different M6 it will show the same error.

I tried different versions of the intel graphic driver, but the problem persists.

Sadly this bug will only show up every few hours or days and the Windows event viewer never shows any log entries that would imply a connection.

Does anyone here have experience with this problem or even a solution?

thanks you for your reply. We tried to change the scaling from 125% to 100% on multiple devices with this problem, but in the process we also had a few without TIA Portal.

When we change the scaling the problem still shows up, but now it will show up on the middle of the screen. I think this probably means that the scaling is causing the issue, but in connection with a different program.

I'm trying to diagnose which program it could be, but even if I find out which one it is, I'm still limited to keeping the scaling to a value such that the screen's content is not too small or to big.

I'm not sure if this is same problem what I had with M4 but it was exactly overheating of PG components inside due not good ventilation system. If I can say, this is very common also to other versions. try to do tests with some cooling option or other helping system to see if it will help you. I expect some good monitoring on Task Manager to see what apps also take more CPU usage and logically put CPU to more higher usage. I recommend also maybe take a look at Power settings on PG what exactly Power save option you've selected. In case of full power set then it is clear that you can have very high temperature inside what can initiate some behaviour.
