Dear Sir, I used USB/RS232 PL2303 cable connect from USB port (PC) to RS232/PPI Multi-Master cable to CPU226. But I cannot connect and show alarm the picture below. Can you suggest for me to fix it. Thanks so much! ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Split from USB/PPI Multi-Master Cable cannot connect.

Local address 1, it can be problem with maybe more existed other devices like HMI. 3. use of Prolific USB-RS232 adapter. With std settings it is not possible to use 3-rd party adapters between USB and PLC with Multimaster cable. It was possible on Win XP. There is probably possible to do this but how and what is needed to change in system files, it is risk to corrupt something. 4. put PLC to STOP for sure, it's not clear what is inside. Three same posts one by one is also not good step, it is so hard to delete some message what isn't required? It's also good habit to ZIP more screenshots, just for future in case.

Henry1675 Bronze Member Joined: 3/9/2018 Last visit: 11/6/2024 Posts: 192 Rating: (15)	Be sure you have proper USB to RS232 adapter to be connected to your RS232 MM adapter. Dodgy/cheap/chinese RS232 usb adapters tends to fail to output true RS232 signals on which RS232 somtimes don't work with. I know the a FTDI cable from the UT232R- series 100% works as i used it myself. Things you can do. * Put PLC in stop-mode. PLC port(s) can be in freeport-mode which prevent you to communicate with the PLC trough the MM adapter) * Be sure you use PPI mode on your RS232 MM adapter (assuming you use a RS232 MM PPI cable) * Try another USB-RS232 USB adapter * Get a true RS232 converter from FTDI mentioned above or similar brand.
