Installation problem of Microwin V4.0 SP8 and SP9

How can you carry out an upgrade on an operating system that no longer supports the existing STEP 7 Micro/WIN version? If you don't have the Microwin CD, no upgrade needed. Just buy the full version. For successful installtion, ther is a trick. 1. Start with the older version of microwin (complete source)(like Microwin SP5/7) 2. Even though the installation can't compete, it will create one "microwin.exe" file during installation and you need to copy it to somewhere in your computer before abourting the installation 3. you will find the file at : C:\Program Files (x86)\Siemens\STEP 7-MicroWIN V4.0\bin 4. Create the same path after abourting the installtion of previous version and place the "microwin.exe" that you already copied. 5. Now start the installtion of SP8 and then SP9.. while installation : just fllow instructions.. I hope this will help you.. Cheers... Can you really proceed the installation of SP8/9 if there's already a "STEP 7-MicroWIN V4.0" path created at step 4? First, I installed Microwin V4.0 without SP on step 1 and followed upto step 4. However, upon installation of SP9 (from here: https://support.automation.siemens.com/WW/llisapi.dll?func=cslib.csinfo&lang=en&objid=58523240&Datakey=24676421&caller=view) for step 5, wherein the the directory for it will be the same as the created directory at step 4, it says I should first uninstall the Microwin V4.0 even though it isn't really installed completely, maybe because there already is a folder on the supposed directory with the same name created at step 4? Also, can anyone please give me a link for a complete installation for at least Microwin V4.0 SP7 if there is? Thanks for any help!

I want to install Microwin. so I found in forum that, It need to install first Microwin V4.0 Sp8 and than upgrade it with SP9. setup files I found on this site. But I am not able to install Microwin 4.0 SP8. during installtion it shows "Searching local drives for installation..." and after long waiting time it shows valid directory not found. What should i do to install microwin in Window 7 based laptop Hi, I have the same problem that Ashish had. I have read the measures posted on this forum for this problem. But, I cannot find out clear solution. Could you explain proper solution for this problem?
