I have an old PLC with the FB100 Modbus TCP Client + Server. Can this PLC have another Modbus TCP connection to another device or is it only limited to this ine instance?

generally if you have still enough free TCP connection resources, it is ok. Connection ID then differs the access to specific device (Server). Problematic is maybe different also here, it isn't only possible to create another different connection but use same connection channel also for diffreent Server access. Simply, if you poll data from one Server, disconnect and connect via changed parameters (IP, Port,...) to another Server, poll data and again back to first one. I recommend for sure to improve TCP networks problematic knowledge to understand what is possible. All depends what you want to do exactly.
