Hello,

For a service/upgrade project we are asked to upgrade an old Masterdrive to a (somewhat) newer CU310.

The normal course of action would be to install a new GSD-file on the PLC for the communication and then install the new CU310. But the tricky thing, we can't touch the software (for reasons).

So what we want to accomplish is to one-on-one replace the Masterdrive with the CU310 and hope for the best.

Well, that didn't work. The message we get from the CU310 is that it can't find/communicate with a ProfiBus master.

Is there anyway how to get the communication up and running between the new CU310 and the PLC with an old Masterdrive GSD-file.

- Parameter settings?
- Some ProfiBus signal converter?
