My request / suggestion:
Have the "copy URL to clipboard" button always give a country neutral URL.

Additionally --
Have this button deliver the shortest possible URL.

(example)
On the browser the URL for this topic is:
https://support.industry.siemens.com/tf/ww/en/posts/about-requesting-url-on-a-support-page/243967/?page=0&pageSize=10#post954137

The URL button gives:
https://support.industry.siemens.com/tf//ww/en/posts/about-requesting-url-on-a-support-page/243967/?page=0&pageSize=10

The URL button could give: (is it the shortest?)
https://support.industry.siemens.com/tf//ww/en/posts/243967

I will forward the suggestion for improvement regarding the country-neutral URL to the responsible person. 

Regarding your 2nd suggestion I think you mix something up.
The first suggestion regards to the product-support URLs within the Product-Support page. The second suggestion regards to the topic URLS within the Technical Forum. For the URLs of topic you can use the shortened version for sure as long as the URL contains the thread ID (in your example it is the number 243967).

Yes a forum topic URL was mentioned as an example.

My request applies to all pages within "https://support.industry.siemens.com" that contains the URL button. My request is to have the URL button offer the shortest possible URL and be country neutral.

I would like this feature too. As of 2024, the product pages still include a country code and the forum link is also quite long.

It would be nice if we could share shortened links like forum.siemens.com/6933 (for post 6933) and sios.siemens.com/83180185 (for document 83180185).

The URL https://support.industry.siemens.com/cs/search?search=83180185 properly redirects to the document https://support.industry.siemens.com/cs/us/en/view/83180185 while avoiding a country code. But it really isn't any shorter, so somewhat defeats the point.

within the forum, if you would like to go to a topic the URL https://support.industry.siemens.com/forum/de/en/posts/about-requesting-url-on-a-support-page/243967/?page=0&pageSize=10  will provide the same result as https://support.industry.siemens.com/forum/de/en/posts/243967

So this is currently the shortest link, that we could provide for a forum topic.

We started already to implement short URLs within the SiePortal pages. E.g. on the search result page, you got the option to "copy link". This will provide you a very compact result https://sieportal.siemens.com/su/bj74X. According current plan, we are going to implement this functionality in the future for the forum application too.

That doesn't seem to be the case with SiePortal knowledgebase pages, does it?

The new SiePortal version of the page doesn't seem to be shortening anything, just changing the region code from "US" to "International". 

Unless I'm missing something?

The knowlegde base content - as the forum content - is currently still provided with the "old" / established layout and functionality. 

To have the new way of creating short links available, we need to "wait" until the pages are provided within the new layout.
