hello why are wincc style scada applications used for any automation project. For example is it possible to do the same things with a c# application that we created ourselves? are there things that do not work well in the field? or is there no obstacle to not doing it? thanks

Of course it is possible. But you would have to create everything (or find and use libraries). The communication with the devices could be a difficult part of it. But also the visualization itself. Do you want a fixed UI, which only a developer can change? Or do you want the (end)user to be able to change texts and other visual changes? Do you want every UI to get the data from the device(s)? Resulting in differences between UIs due to timing issues. Or make a server that gets the data from the device(s) and provide that to the UIs. That are just the basics, the more systems are involved the more complex it gets. |
