Hello everyone, how are you? I believe you can help me. I have 2 slave HMIs MP 377 for the same master PLC in MPI. In WinCC Flexible, the option "only master on the bus" is unchecked. When I convert to TIA Portal V13, for example, this option is checked, and it doesn't give me the option to disable it, even if I delete this connection in WinCC Flexible and recreate the connection from the converted file in TIA Portal. Does anyone have any idea how to disable this in TIA Portal? Attachmentconnection.zip (176 Downloads) |

Hi A.DelimaGabardo, The flag for "Only Master on Bus" is normally enabled in the HMI-connection. Also this flag is grayed and not possible to deactivate the flag. This flag declared only, the device is an active partner in the MPI/DP bus. In the past (WinCC flexible), as you mention, it was possible to disable this flag and so the device was only a passive partner and needs a PLC in the bus for communication or also for the MPI transfer. When this flag was enabled, it is possible to do a MPI transfer from WinCC flexible to the HMI without a connected PLC on the bus. It is no problem, if you have more than one HMI with enabled flag for "Only Master on the Bus". All Simatic HMI panels are master in the bus and also the used PLC for the communication with the panels is a master. The HMI is only a master class 2 and subordinated to a PLC. I think your problems with the MPI bus have an other point of origin. Maybe the termination of the bus is not ok? Best regards!
