I would like to install the LOGO software demo version on my MacBook Pro. but when I download it and open the files. I click on the setup file for Mac. it says I can't open it on the Mac :( I really don't know why. 

need it for my education and work.

Which version of Logo! Soft Comfort are yiu trying to install, and what version of Mac OS is on your MacBook? It could be a problem of unsupported OS.

Have a look at this description of the requirements for Logo! Soft Comfort v8 on a Mac OS:

Do the Mac OS version you have on your MacBook match the versions shown in that list?

1. Make sure you use x86_64 binary of Java runtime.

2. Make sure you use the right version of Java runtime.

3. LogoComfort 8.3 or older use Java runtime version 8, 8.4 use Java runtime version 11

4. Make you install or upgrade in new folder.

You could type java_home to find what version of Java runtime your system use. If you have more and one version of Java it will pick the highest version number as default. If that is not what you want you could force to use other Java runtime version.

Ps. Remember to use x86_64 binary and not aarch64 or apple silicon binary of Java runtime. The installer do also use Java runtime. (InstallAnywhere) 

The Java runtime is located on macOS here: /Library/Java/JavaVirtualMachines/

In other words Siemens LOGOComfort for Mac do not include any VM for Java. So you need to download it. On my Mac I have both version 8 and 11 of Java runtime in x86_64 binary. Its true that Siemens do not support modern macOS but there is no issue what I know of. I use Sonoma and I have running both 8.3 install CD and web download of upgrade 8.4 without any problems.
