I'm using WinCC Unified v17 update 5 and after about a day or less of use without closing the browser the operation on them starts to be extremely slow. Computer resources (cpu, ram and disk usage) are all normal. Performing a refresh using the F5 function key makes WinCC return to normal performance. The behavior happens in both Microsoft Edge and Google Chrome. Has anyone encountered similar behavior?

Hi Celio_Goetten, I know that there are still different performance issues on the WinCC Unified Systems. Without knowing your project in detail, we - the community - would not be able to give you some advice. Since everyone is interested in a WinCC System with good performance, it would be better to report your observations to Siemens, creating a new support request. Kind regards |

I am using WinCC Unified version 18. Have experienced similar problems where the browser would "freeze" after running for a week or so. Problem reported to Siemens support, but have not received any solution.I had to make an alarm for the operator that forces them to restart PC after 6 days. |

Hi, When i started my own project i use for every screen a new 'screen', unified can't handle that properly. When i use one headscreen and use for all the others a 'window' the problem of freezing and slow performance after a while was gone. Maybe this can help you too. |

Hi Peter Doan, You will understand that such a simple question without further details can only lead to very general answers. So maybe using a much faster PC will help you, but I doubt that is what you want to hear, and maybe you are using a panel and not a PC, then this answer would be useless. So if you would provide much more detail, the change to get a useful answer will increase. However, I assume that the problem needs to be analyzed in detail, so sending your project to Siemens might help to get it analyzed. Kind regards |
