casio Posts: 9 Rating: (0)	hi, we just purchase new machine equipment with s7 200 plc and micromaster 440.there is a cd rom for mm4 and when i open it it says that s7 need to be install.i'm very much comfuse if i will continue the set up because my laptop have already s7 200 software installed.do i just continue installing the mm4 starter cd rom?? thanks, senen

casio Posts: 9 Rating: (0)	thanks mohamed, I installed the software and we are going to purchase the pc to mm4 connecting kit.All we need actually is to save the parameters and configuration of the drive to our pc.I have another issue,i read in the manual about this add on software: instruction library part # 6ES7 830-2BC00-0YX0.Do i really need this software ??? It look like the program we have is written with this software .I can see this uss-init and drv-ctrl block in the plc program. thanks again, casio

You can get it from B&B Electronics Part# 485SD9TB, their web site is www.bb-elec.com this provides a terminal strip going on the output of the converter so you can connect a 2 conductor cable to it. You connect the converter to terminal strip #29 & 30 on the drive. I have found this easier than the converter, also you still have the front operator panel.
