OZW672 firmware update problem

specmario Posts: 12 Rating: (0)	I tried to update firmware in my OZW672 to v5.0. I deleted it normally, but can not upload the firmware. OZWx72 Firmware update tool writes Invalid Firmware file and stops procedure. LEDs on web server lights (orange, green, orange). What is wrong? I can not upload even v4.06, which worked there before. Thank you.

specmario Posts: 12 Rating: (0)	Thank you for response. The last firmware version I downloaded, is on the link, you have sent me, v5.0. But I tried to upload firmware v4.06, which worked before in my webserver. But it still gives messageInvalid Firmware file for both version. It is tricky, because in the beginning I upload v5.0 to the webserver succesfully. But I was not able to connect via USB. Than I deleted it in webserver and tried to upload again with the same procedure. And since this time I'm not able to upload any firmware file. USB connection is o.k., because if I try to upload the file without connected cable, it gives message that the webserver is disconnected.

Which version do you use? The current version is v2.1. I can’t provide this version here in the forum. You must open a Service Request or send me a personal email address. Regards Siemens Support

Ommo Advanced Member Joined: 11/4/2011 Last visit: 10/23/2025 Posts: 36 Rating: (10)	The message “Invalid Firmware file” can only generate, if you use the wrong firmware file (OZW672/OZW772) or your file is really corrupt.Please check the firmware file again. We have no other ideas. If the firmware is deleted than you must see 2 orange LED and 1 read LED, see attachment. Check again the USB settings in according to the first attachment: NewUpdateToolv2_Upgrade_Help.pdf. If this doesn't help at all then maybe you have damaged your OZW672.
