TIP: user defined image (logo) on S7-1500 display

Denilson Pegaia Platinum Expert Joined: 9/23/2005 Last visit: 11/4/2024 Posts: 4351 Rating: (1451)	Hi, A nice feature avaliable in S7-1500 display (as from FW 1.5 / STEP 7 V13) is the possiblitiy to import a userimage file to be used as "logo". The image should have 128 x 120 pixelsand be in format .bmp, .jpg .gif or .png. The configuration is done in the PLC device view, CPU properties > Display > User-defined logo.

I tried to used user-defined logo, exactly how you suggested but logo didn´t show up on the screen. I have a resolution of logo 128x120 pixels. I´ve checked User-defined logo page and downloaded it into PLC. But I still have on the PLC screen the same icons like before. Could you help me with this problem? Is it also possible to use it on S7-1511? Thank you for your help. Best regards. Jaroslav

I then realized, that the offline project was created with a CPU defined with firmware 1.1. After right-clicking on the CPU and selecting Replace to firmware V1.6 the entry was available. Just wanted to share my stupid mistake to safe others from the same waste of time ...

If you make a QR code of the IP address of the CPU it's easy to access the CPU's web interface. Just take a use the Scanner applikation on your tablet or Phone and the browser starts up showing the CPU's WEB interface. QR codes generator could be: http://www.qrstuff.com/og tons of others
