Hello , please note , that the LUT400 will come without 4-20 mA input. This option is only available for the Multiranger 200 / Hydroranger 200. If you connect the LR250 at this mA input, you can use the relays for the pump control and you can use the mA output to display the level also at the RD200. If you want to save your money, I suggest to use the LR250 only together with the RD300. This units supports up to 8 relays and 8 digital I/O. With this, you can handle simple on/off pump control, and pump alternation control for up to 8 pumps (!). 1) I assume that you are looking at the LR250 FEA, Flanged Encapsulated Antenna that puts the horn outside of the 'tank' and behind a PTFE lens so protect it from the corrosive environment. If not, look at the catalog sheet here: LR250 FEA 2) The LUT400 is only useful when used with the a Siemens ultrasonic transducer, it is not a stand-alone level controller. The MultiRanger 200 or HydroRanger can be purchased with a 4-20mA analog input which can be a level input, an alternative to a Siemens transducer. So if you have one of these with a mA input and relays, it can be used as a pump controller. My personal opinion is that the Multi/Hydro relay control scheme is pretty complicated. Last time I messed wtih it, it took over a half day's effort to get the relays operating as needed. I thought it should have been an hour's job, not a 4 hour job. I find it far easier to get the RD200 to trip at the points needed. 3) The RD200 is perfect for remote level display, relay status and pump-up or pump-down level control (not for continuous level control). It also has a selectable option for alternating pump control. The attached sheet is what I use to show people an example of alternating pump control. I would not say, that the relay control scheme of the Multi/Hydroranger is pretty complicated, but for sure, you have to be a bit experienced to handle this. Anyhow, for the new HMI version of the Multiranger / Hydroranger 200 the pump control is pretty easy to do. The menu structure is very similar to the LUT400. There is a also Pump Control Wizard, which will guide you here.
